for some reason people dont understand how a BBK equals faster track times. That's why you see expierenced drivers with BBK's smoke dudes with insane amount of horsepower. Now, if you can combine the two and get good at....game over.

if you got the money, who cares right?
body kits/rims/carbon fiber anything is useless on a street car.
but... we all do it anyway.

One of my cars has a BBK on it and is completely NA. In fact it only has a exhaust and Pop-Charger on it for power......and believe me, the BBK gets used.

I only plan on doing some spirited driving on the street, so i think stock brembos, with upraged pads, ss lines, and rotors will be more than enough. I think it would be more than enough even if wanted to take it to the track.

you probably wont max out the safe operating levels of oem brakes on the street...unless you drive like a maniac. BBK's look sick, but if you just use it on the street, they probably dont get used to their full potential (again, if youre not driving like a maniac)

On the track its a whole different story

Wow... No one can take a joke ?? Ignorance is bliss?

I was just pulling Kwame's chain. A bbk would of been my first mod when I was na if I knew how much of a difference it made.

How do you drive your car? I drive my car pretty hard on the street and just feeling the brakes fade and poor petal feel made me buy them.

90% of my driving is highway.. and i hardly brake.. i use mostly compression braking.. and even if i do run north of 140 mph i can back off the gas without enough time to come back to normal speeds where i don't need to get on the brakes

Yep. With those stock non-Brembo brakes I was feeling fade at ZDayZ last year on some good runs. Went with a BBK so I can start to auto-x and maybe do a couple HPDE's and not worry about having no brakes.

And yes, they look badass, which is a perk, but not reason enough in itself.

I'm surprised with all this talk of BBKs, (and warped rotors, brake fade, etc) that nobody has mentioned brake venting/ducting to keep what you do have cooler...

I actually ran a Brembo GT 13" w/stock 17" wheels while waiting for my Racingharts...
I screwed up my stock front brakes and decided to go with a an over the top setup just to never worry about my brakes again.

I don't understand what it matters if you're FI or not? Having a BBK doesn't have anything to do with being FI or not. Yes, A LOT of people will buy it for show and will never use the full capabilities of the BBK. I would have to say though, for a lot of the Z owners out there, they purchase BBK's because they're involved in some type of motorsports. Doesn't matter if you're FI or not, brakes play a vital role to the vehicle's dynamics when it comes to road racing, auto-cross, etc. Try taking your Z out to track day with stock brakes and tell me what happens.
