I was thinking of doing a red calipar. Whata ya think?
After reading this thread, it only begs the question, Dude it's your car why would you give a flying flip what anyone here thinks? I mean seriously, this is the internet, 99% of us don't really even "exist" to you. Random postings of some "imaginary" people. lol

I mean, ok, I can understand if you were asking three of your closest friends that were all in your car club. But us?

Let me tell you, unless you start paying my car payments, I really don't give a DAMN what anyone else thinks. If I like it, I'm going to do it. Anyone that doesn't care for it is welcome to turn their heads and look away in disgust OR point and laugh as they mock me when I drive by. Either is fine with me. Again, I don't give a rat's a$$. Now if they want to step up to the plate and pay for my ride? Hell I'll definitely give them and their opinions due consideration at that point. Perhaps my attitude is the difference between being 40 and being 20 like most of you guys. Don't worry though, God willing you'll get to 40 too.

Anyway, if you want 'em painted, paint them. Personally, I like the ones the guys a few posts up did. Painted them black and put the 350Z stickers on them. Looks like the calipers on my old C6 Corvette. Good work.

Just my nickel's worth, YMMV.

I used G-2 paint for my calipers. Here is a pic of them in red. I painted my Miata's calipers black and they look great too. In the past, my '95 Stealth had yellow calipers. I don't think it matters what color you paint them as long as they are tasteful.

yea i did it myself. its not spray paint though...its an epoxy paint that you brush on. They actually were really easy to do and turned out great. the caliper decals i bought off ebay. once the caliper heats up the decals are pretty much permanent...(im able to pressure wash them)

thats great that you don't care what other people think and trust me, no one will pay for your car except for you. he is just asking opinions, whether or not he cares about what you say is something else. I'm sure the OP doesn't give a rats *** about people telling him to get a bbk. so yeah, im sure no one really cares what you say, its just about what they choose to take in.

I'm sorry but is there any way you could repeat that in English? A few capital letters, some punctuation and, oh, fewer impersonal pronouns so I can narrow down which "you" that you were referring to each time would be fantastic! Really appreciate it, thanks!

I quoted YOU so when I say "you" it means YOU (clarkemtp). I also refered to the OP as the OP, which should tell YOU that every other time I said "you" it wasn't refering to the OP.(Clarified for clarkemtp... as if quoting him and context clues weren't enough for this english major).

I really hope you don't need capital letters to read english

Thanks. Not interested in a flame war. I only asked you to clarify before commenting directly because of this earlier statement you made which puzzled me:

so yeah, im sure no one really cares what you say, its just about what they choose to take in.
All I can add then is that if no one really cares what we are to add to a thread, then perhaps they've misunderstood the function of a public discussion forum. Although, I would disagree with you as I assume the OP does, in fact, care or he wouldn't have made the post in the first place seeking thoughts and opinions.

It simply continues to elude me as to exactly why anyone would care. That's all, pretty simple really.

.(Clarified for clarkemtp... as if quoting him and context clues weren't enough for this english major).
Sorry, no. I was double major in Bio and Chem, but thanks for caring. So then, I guess neither of us are English majors, obviously. lol

I really hope you don't need capital letters to read english :icon18
Need? No. But certainly capital letters, proper punctuation, paragraphs and the like can all make your musings clearer and more readable. You should try it sometime. Get everyone involved it can be fun for the whole family!

I painted the brake calipers on my previous car red, but I did silver on my Z...I think it looks nice. I used G2 both times, and have been very happy with the finish and how well it has held up.

Personally I think the caliper stickers look like junk, but at least you don't have these.

Silver calipers and those PC'd GT rims are definitely a win. Very slick.

Your first post in this thread added nothing to this thread and the OP's question. That useless comment is what people don't care about.

LOL, grammar police... oh no! I'm surprised my posts are the only ones you have a hard time reading (seeing as this is a forum and for the most part no one needs paragraphs, capital letters, or punctuation to understand what is being said)... maybe its because im the only one who thinks your "contributions" don't help the OP or anyone for that matter.

BZZZZZZZZT! Wrong answer, but thanks for playing! See, when you quote someone incomplete and out-of-context to suit your own ends, it may make you feel better, but everyone else can read.

The original question:

Hey guys,

I am thinking of painting my stock calipars. I have a PPW Z and I have these wheels:

https://my350z.com/forum/attachme...4&d=1203912539

I was thinking of doing a red calipar. Whata ya think?
I added the highlight for ease of comprehension. My *complete* response? Directly on point to the OP's original question? Why I'm glad you asked.

1) Anyway, if you want 'em painted, paint them.
2) Personally, I like the ones the guys a few posts up did.
3) Painted them black and put the 350Z stickers on them.
4) Looks like the calipers on my old C6 Corvette.
5) Good work.

That useless comment is what people don't care about.
The rest, my opinion. Unfortunate that you don't agree but that doesn't matter. I stand by my comments. Thanks. Because, in fact, contrary to your interpretation of what he wrote, opinions were EXACTLY what the OP requested.

My comment(s) obviously tinkled in YOUR cheerios, sorry. Believe me they weren't directed at you. LOL

We cool now?

PS - Ummmmmm....

LOL, grammar police... oh no! Speaking of opinions that don't matter, LOL. Glad you had the opportunity to post yours!

silver or black, red will draw attention to the tiny stock oem brakes along with the tiny stock oem rotors. paint them black or silver to give it a cleaner look without drawing attention to the tiny little calipers and tiny little rotors.

I completely misquoted you to suite my own needs? Since you're into paragraphs on forums you should know that what I quoted was your topic sentence. Half of the whole post was completely useless and the other half was your useless opinion. This would get you a good grade for organization in your e-English/grammar police 101 class, since it supports your topic sentence. Since this thread seems to have died off, and is only being kept alive by our bickering with each other lets do the forum a favor and let people with something to contribute do so (cough... you shouldn't have posted in the first place...)

ps. of course we're cool! (with each other that is...lol). btw, since you seem to steer off topic in other threads about the work meisters and no one has been responding to you (probably for the same reasons I have responded to you in this thread)... Thats a pretty good price. Is it local or is that the shipped price? I have the same rims and you can PM me the info and I'll tell you what I got them for (I bought my set through a vendor on this forum).

We're cool? Fair enough. I'll even ignore the passive aggressive, backhanded insults you threw in for free in that last post.

What it boils down to is this is a "public discussion forum". You won't find all the opinions to be of use to you personally. That's ok. My question to the OP about asking himself why he would care what everyone else liked for color is a valid one never the less. He obviously knows what color he prefers so I was simply trying to give him a gentle "shove" into going with something HE would like. Who cares whether we post "Dude I'm feelin it" or "Bro that sucks"? lol Serious.

Now, can we all get a hug?

PS - I'll shoot you a PM regarding the wheels thing.

I thought passive aggressive, backhanded insults was your style? ding ding ding I'm right, I win. LOL lame. Anyway, consider it *hugged out* lol. On a still off-topic note... the meisters are sick, you won't regret getting them. I'll be waiting for your PM.
