Finished: Installed Stoptech, Nismo S-tunes, Iforged, etc....
Thanks again....
I installed the shocks/springs backwards (an on opposite sides) because the pillow mount was backwards, and I do not have a spring compressor to fix it. They come pre-assembled. No problems, other than one speed sensor mount in the incorrect place (back instead of front), all other mounts end up in the same place.
Stoptech was pretty easy, I have never installed any of these things before, a true novice, and I did all the work myself (my G/F help bleed the brakes). It was a learning expirience, to say the least, but it can be done. I also learned a lot about the car. I will say that I am good at these kinds of things, butanyone can do it (and I saved $450). I chose stoptech because 1) they seem to have a great reputation, and 2) I got a good deal.

thanks for the reply,
did the brakes fit right where the old ones came off?
where was the best price at?
still confused on the backwards parts but will keep watching and reading sites and eventually lock on to it.
thanks again

Got some questions:
1. What tools are needed to install the suspension and anti-roll bars?
2. Can one person do the work or is a helper needed?
3. How much time do you estimate it took to install the suspension and anti-roll bars?

The brakes mount in the same location as the stock caliper, and use an adapter bracket.
I mounted the shock/spring backwards because the top mounting piece (mounting isolator) was 180 degrees from where it should have been. The front shock/spring came pre-assembled and I could not fix them without a spring compressor. So, I mounted them backwards instead. It should not impact perfermance at all.
Tools needed: Assorted sockets and deep sockets (and other tools like exstensions that go with the sockets) that range from 10mm to 19mm, a good torque wrench, a good jack, jack stands, and that is pretty much it. All I have is the 100 piece craftsman tool set and a torque wrench.
I did it by myself for the most part, obviously an extra person helps, I almost knocked myself out when the sway bar landed on my nose
.
It should take a solid 8 hours (if it is your first time like it was mine, then maybe add 4 hours to that). Someone that knows what they are doing could probably do it in 4. It is pretty strait foward comparred to most cars....

I read a review of the Stop Techs Vs. the Brembos on the Z, and the StopTechs actually stopped the car in a shorter distance than the Track Brembos. You made the right choice.
Who has the best prices on StopTechs?

I got the Stoptech's from Concept Z Performance, and I talked to Coz. I got a good deal because the set had been opened for pictures by Stoptech (never used). If you look in the vendor classifieds he may have a pretty decent deal going on now....
I think the stock brembo's and the stoptech's are real close, one thing to consider about the test is that they used stock pads, lines and fluid. I think if you upgraded those on the stock brakes (brembo's) it would be close. However, I now have spent on my car what I would have spent on a track model, and I think I would take my car over a track model

Good question, right now I am using the stock gromet sealed up, but I have some SS hole covers that are a little too big, and as soon as I modfy one I will use it, it looks pretty good.
When I put the correct cover on, I will take some pics...

I do most of the time, it has been raining just about everyday, so when it looks like it is clearing off for a few days my car will get a much needed cleaning. The nice thing about silverstone is it hides dirt in pics, it had rained earlier in the day that I took the pics....
I am finished with suspension, brake and exterior mods, on to performance and interior. My plans are to add leather seat covers and a moderate stereo system, and some type of FI. I am hoping for a decent single turbo setup that can run max of 10 lbs. of boost on a well tuned setup. I will likely wait till the end of the year to see what it available. I would like to keep things fairly simple at this point.
