Default Might sound crazy but is my car lowered?

OK I didn't buy my Z new but whenever I look at other Zs in person or in pictures with stock 17's like me it seems like I always have less fender gap than them. When I changed tires I went from 225/50 front and 235/50 rear to 235/45 front and 245/45 rear which is about a lower OD by about .50 and my gap still seems less. I'm just wondering if it's my eyes playing trick on me. I measured the fender gap front and back. My fender gap on the front is exactly 1'' and the rear is exactly 2'' (I did remove my spare tire, jack, and trunk mat). Now say I went and got 19's 245/35 front which is .40 higher OD than I got now and then lowered wouldn't I rub since I only have 1'' gap to begin with?

BTW I have a 04.5, Thanks

why don't you just look at your suspension. Take a few minutes. Also, you might have blown shocks or something as well.

Well I'll check in the morning when it's light out but I think my spings are black so there's probably something busted .

probably just the taller tires, they fill the wheel wells up better and sometimes make the car look lowered

But I went with a lower profile. I have 45s instead of 50 series.

I will 1st thing in the morning once I can actually see. I just hope it's not suspension damage. If it's not aftermarket springs could it be coilovers? Well I'm going to shop night tomorrow so I'll have a good chance to look at it once it's in the air.

Actually, you can find the dimension from the ground to the peak of the fender arches in several places on the net. Measure yours and compare. Obviously, this won't tell you why it's different - but it'll give you a starting place.

I can't tell what color the springs are or if they have any logos. The springs are either super dirty or they sprayed that rust preventive coating on the springs too. It looks like they are sprayed because it looks like the coating on the bottom of the car. I wish I had some way of knowing. I wouldn't count out the previous owner lowering since it alreay had a Nismo spoiler on it too. Whatever the case is all four sides seem level 1'' front 2'' rear.
