Looking for some neg camber in front...suggestions?
Hi All,
I haven't been on the site in a while, but performed a quick search and had a hard time finding exactly what I am looking for.
Basically, I do a 35 mile one way commute on twisty mountain roads, 3-4 track days per year, and (up until very recently) about 1 AutoX per month.
I currently have several minor modifications to my car, including:
Koni Shocks
Hotchkis Swaybars
Stoptech 13" front brakes
Quaife LSD
265/35-18 Kumho Ecsta V700 Race tires on Enkie RPO-2J rims
I just came back from a track day at thunderhill, and was going pretty well, however I find myself wearing the outside of the front tires much more than the inside. This happens a bit on my street tires as well. I don't have a pyrometer, but from the wear it is obvious that I'm not effectively using the inner 1/2 of the tire. This was my first time at a track with race tires, and it was quite a bit of fun. However I couldn't quite keep up with a friend who has a modified STI, and while I'm sure driver improvements would help, it is much easier to throw money at the car's problems instead of admitting my own.
I'm looking to get 1-2 degrees of negative camber in front, and was wondering if anyone had suggestions for products that would help with that. At this point I'm not interested in lowering the car (too many bumpy hill in my area), and prefer just to add the negative camber to the front.
Thanks,
D!

Your going to need camber adjustable A arms up front since camber isn't adjustable. Once you have the A arms I'd start with -2 all around. Your also going to need something to adjust toe and camber in the rear as you will run out of adjustment the factory allows.

cusco sounds like the perfect arms for you, they are made to add negative camber which is why not that many people run them, but since that is what you are looking for, then they are perfect for you and they are pretty reasonably priced. The ichibas appear to be reboxed cuscos so if you want to install those they are cheaper
I wish I had that problem, looking for arms that provide enough positive camber adjustment is what I need.
Just lower your car a couple inches, you'll be all set with all the negative camber you'd ever want and never ending credit card bill's for new front tires.
