loud break problem
hey guys so i came to a problem when my rear breaks were touching metal to metal after i took it to the dealer with my brembos. They told me it costs 2000 to change pads and change rotors. I said noway so i bought the pads only and changed them. Later a squeking noise came so i had to change my rotors and got slotted dba rotors. Even after that a few days later whenever i lightly touch the breaks the noise is reallly loud unless i break hard. I dont know what else to do or why this is still happening, any help would be appreciated, thnx.
a. Some brands of semi-metallic pads are inherently noisier than others because of the ingredients used in the manufacture of the friction material.
b. Loose fitting brake pads in the brake calipers
c. Lack of silicone compound on back of brake pad
d. Missing springs or anti-rattle clips that should be on the caliper or pad
e. Improper tightening sequence of lug nuts or caliper hardware

Well, are the replacement pads for your brakes (sp) organic or semi metallic? The material of the pad can cause the noise if not properly installed. If you lessen dust issues by hardening the replacement you're potentially going to have squeaks. There is a a pad cream that the installer should have put on the back of the pad to lessen the potential squeak.
edit* me and the above were writing at the same time....what he said. except for the sequence of lug tightening which is a red herring...
