they could but you should also look into powdercoating...

 

I think AlvinH did this a little while's back. I think it took him a couple of tries to get finally get it close to right, but then he got it done professionally i think.

You can paint anything any color. A shop that paints, say, headers, will be appropriate.

 

The terms are often used interchangeably. Both are painting “techniques.” One may be more appropriate then the other for a specific application.

 

I think you need to powdercoat brakes. You will likely have a less than
perfect finish post install and usage with just paint. Powdercoat seems
much more resilient to heat and brake dust, while paint will progressively
look worn. Surf the posts, and get the job done proper. Brembos are very
expensive, and wouldn't want you to ruin em with some booty work.

Newb, you got any facts to backup your statement? Here are several pictures of my Brembo calipers recently professionally painted. It has custom Brembo decals and several coats of clear coat.

I know! I was so afraid they will get scratched during the install but everything turned out okay. I thought about other colors before I had them repainted but red is too played out already. Plus, I love the Brembo gold, which, to me, makes them unique.

is it a pain in the *** to uninstall the calipers to paint them? (i have the brembo gt kit) i will be taking my car to a shop to get them uninstalled so i can paint them soon and I don't want to get overcharged....

You clearly got an above average job done. If dude gets his calipers sprayed
and installed by joe blow, the results could be less superior than your own.
90% of calipers I have seen from the "paint booth" look booty a year later.

My calipers are original from my '03 touring so I am sure you can find a flic yourself - they're rather bleh. I was polite in my repost, and I have a right to an opinion about work quality. I refuse to argue the semantics of a topic which has been hashed on the board many times. It all comes down to work quality. It was my OPINION that powdercoat jobs turned out better. If you can't handle that, go hump a tree.
