JIC Coilovers, do I need scales to setup?

Do I need scales to setup the JIC coilovers?

I was told I do, all the install shops say I don't.

Which is true?

I can't find any competent install shops in KC area, anyone know of any?

Only if you want to corner balance the car. Something racers do to offset their body weight. For normal driving just set the height and dampening you want.
