Default Moving front calipers/rotors to the rear?

Ok if this is a stupid question please don't flame me too badly. I just ordered a Wilwood 6 piston BBK to replace my stock rotors on the front (07 Touring edition - NON Brembo). So I'll have an extra set of front calipers and rotors (that have about 11k miles on them) that I was going to put in the closet until I sell the car in the future. The question is can I put them on the rear to replace the tiny ones there?

Thanks,

Ross

Has been covered a few times, but the simple answer is no, you can't.

Usually people ask this question in regards to moving the front brembo caliper to the rear in conjuction with a large BBK up front. Maybe thats why you couldn't find anything on it. Same answer regardless, though.

BTW, that OEM rear caliper is more then adequate, especially since you have the larger 07 brakes.

I wish we could do this. I know of some vette guys who use vette front brakes on the front and rear of their cars and that's all they do for long track days but it's plenty of stopping power. I rode with Danny Popp (great autocrosser) in his C5 and he has the vette fronts on all 4 corners and that thing had some ferocious stopping power. Anyone want to make a conversion kit for vette brakes to the Z, . JK.

Same caliper, but larger rotors.

Sorry I didn't clarify, but what I meant to say was that the rear brakes (even the non brembo's) are more then adequate for most usage. I track my car with the 14.25" 6 piston AP racing BBK up front and the OEM non brembo rears with just upgraded rotors/pads/lines, and it works great.
