Default Question about lowering tein basics rear

tried searching but didnt find the answer. i know most people take out the collars out. some one, others both but i was wondering what if you take out the whole thing out? like in the picture below the gold thing that holds the collars. would taking that part affect the ride? as in bad? anyone with tein basics who has the rear low please reply! thanks

Just shave or cut down the flat side of the rubber cone that is holding the gold Tein collar in place.

That gave me an extra inch...ride was the same.
