Default Searching: BBK Stoptech Performance/less weight

Hi,
I'm looking around for the best relation of performance/less weight bbk from Stoptech.
I thought about 4 piston 14" front, 4 piston 13" rear.
What do you think?

I've searched!
Thanks for answers.
Alex

For weight savings go with the ST-22 2 piston 328 rear. It should be good for your needs. I am using the ST-40 front caliper and the OEM Brembo rear which uses the same pad as the St-22 and it holds up well for me on the track. The rear pads are very small and wear out quickly. You might consider going with the ST-45 4 piston 355 rear like you said just for the increased pad size for longevity. But if weight is your biggest concern, the 2 piston ST-22 328 is what you want.

Hmmm, I dont like the 2 piston look. But, thanks for the idea.
How much would weight difference between 13" 4 piston rear and 328mm 2 piston rear?

What do the others think about 4 pist 14" front, 4 piston 13" rear?

I don't think they make a 4 piston 13" rear. I think they only make a 355mm 4 piston rear.

Are we doing this to be fasionable or for performance?

Stoptech catalog states there is a 355 4 piston app or a 328 2 piston app.

ummpf, I think I'm going 2 piece 13" rear. They look much bigger than I thought.
What do you drive front? 4 piston... 14" or 13"?

Alex.

here's my stoptech 14" 4pot front and 14" 4pot rear, I can place them on the scale and weigh them for you. The calipers on the front looks exactly the same as the rear in my eyes, I don't see any difference, the only difference is the length of the steel braided brake lines

Because if you push your brake pad, your brakes could stop a tank!

And how much do OEM Brembos weigh? OEM Non Brembos?

I think this would make a good sticky if we could get weights of each of the kits out there.

That is a good question. However, isn't the 2006 non-Brembo model and up using a different setup than the previous years?

+1 seeing as the front brakes do over 70% of braking, id feel that a 2 piston rear is more than adaquet? im running the stoptech 355 up front, and stock single pistons rears (upgraded pads and ss lines) and i feel thats enough for a good track day (although i wanna go rear bbk in the future)

+1 not needed that much stopping power in the rear on the track.

Looks extra bling if you're a waxer, though.
