Default Will 350Z shocks work on a G35?

My shocks are getting limp with my lowering springs... if I found a set of 350Z shocks for cheap will they work?

Basically... are the 350Z shocks and G35 shocks the same... or will they wear even faster on the heavier G?

Yes 350Z shocks work, they are not the same as G35 shocks as far as valving goes and most importantly since your lowered, they have 3/4" shorter body and piston rod lengths.

Rule number one.

Thou shalt never ever install oem 2003-2004 oem Z shocks known as unrevised, NO MATTER how cheap they are. You will get the same bounce on freeway porposing issues that caused Nissan to revise the suspension midway into 2004.

Rule number two.

Remember rule number one.

Rule number three
If your buying used oem Z shocks, purchase on shocks that are from the revised suspension, some 2004 cars have the revision, we call them 2004.5.

Here is some help to help you ID a revised oem Z shock

In the picture below you'll find two oem revised 350Z rear shocks. Notice that the part number is a adheasive label. Also notice that the dust shields are totally smooth. Unrevised oem Z shocks do no have the part numbers on a label, nor do the rear shocks have smooth dust shields (ribbed on the outside).

Revised front shocks also have labels for the part numbers.

Oh yeah

Rule number four

When the asking price of used oem Z shocks get's near what you can buy brand newTokico HP's for, you walk from that sale and go buy the HP's.
