I'll try my hardest to explain but it's kinda tricky. When I'm driving on the highway the car feels like its swaying left and right and gets even worse when I drive faster/more windy. Also, when only making left turns the car backend feels really loose. Another thing I also noticed was that my steering wheel also felt loose. Thanks. Help me guys! I just want my car to be normal again.

-04 with 65k miles
-struts/shocks have not been replaced
-lowered on tanabe gf springs.
-spc rear camber kit
-running 235/55/17 on all 4 wheels,so its not staggered as it should be

 

I'm by no means an expert, but depending on how long you've had the tanabe springs on there, you could need some new shocks. Lowering springs tend to shorten the life of the OEM shocks. Good luck.

 

that was my initial thought, but if anyone else can chime in I would greatly appreciate it. I don't want to get stiffed by the dealer.

 

Taking the stagger out does that. Going away from the staggered (in height) setup changes the caster and makes the car twitchy.

 

i will be getting an alignment and two new rear tires with the correct size. hopefully this fixes the problem.

 

I took my 08 NISMO to nissan for a new set of rear tires and had an alignment done. When I got it back I experienced the same thing. Come to find out, I had a bad rear hub after only 13k miles. This is easy to check. Jack the car up to get the tires off the ground and then shake them by hand and see if there is any play in any of them.

 

i have tanabe's on my 07 which has under 15k miles on it. i dont feel this at all, im thinking you might want to get your alignment checked.

 

got my alignment done at NTB on Saturday and dropped my car off at the dealership to get an inspection. the dealership said nothing was wrong. I will be purchasig tires either today or sometime this week. updates will follow just in case anyone else is having similar problems.

They would have found that during the alignment, its your tires

 

quick question terras. can I run two 245/55/17 in the back? I want to get back to factory settings but don't have enough cash for 4 brand new tires.

 

Its not optimal , but will work.
