Default Replacing brakes on 2004 350Z

Its time to replace the brakes, nothing left on the front pads and the rotors
are just at the line where I can either keep the existing or replace.

The Akebono all-ceramic pads have been suggested instead of the original Brembo at a big cost savings. Their supposed to be great since virtually dustless. But what about performance?
Anyone have experience with these...how
will they stack up in performance vs. the original?

Would you suggest trying to keep going with the origninal rotors for now
or push ahead with replacment ..even if not required at the moment?
Any thoughts on the drilled Brembo as replacement?
What other rotors have you used to keep performance level?

Thanks .

I just put on some akebono pads, although mine are the normal brakes for an 04 rather than the brembos. I put them on with new rotors as well. I have not had a chance to track them yet (and i dont think i will track with them on) but on the street i can def. notice a dif. between the oem brakes. but rotors also effect this as well as the pads.

Thanks. Can you elaborate at all? How much more stopping power do they have? Which rotors did you put on? Please be more detailed.
