Default ARG?! dealership trust problems

soo went in for alighnment.. they couldnt get the left front to get in spec.

they said my steering nuckle and compression arms are BENT?!

i did buy the car used. but is it easy to bend thoes? seems pretty strong.

my question is... are they just sayin this cause they dont wanna replace the bushings? or they dont carry the bushings lol

how could they tell if they are bent? and its not the bushing?

http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...ng&prodid=4136

something like this mite do the trick?

my front camber was -1.6
does that sound like a bent compression arm? or busing failure?

also.. compression arm is another name for control arm right?

From your other thread and this one, it sounds possible.

If you don't trust them, go to another shop and ask them to check the alignment and suspension pieces.

I know it can't be adjusted. But I'm asking by looking at the alignmnet sheet if you guys think it's a bad bushing or if the parts are bent. Thanks

I seriously doubt the steering knuckle could be bent... it's aluminum! Aluminum doesn't bend, it snaps and breaks. I think all the suspension arms are aluminum... but the endlinks, hub, and camber arms are steel I think. Not sure on that but just remembering from looking at all these components. So maybe they are referring to some other piece...

hmm they wernt reffering to other peices. even got them to write down the part numbers.

i just decided to order the compression rod. for $150 shipped and see if that will fix the problem.

my gut tells me its a bad bushing. im kinda tyte on money so i didnt wanna try out some after market bushings and not have them to fix the problem.
