Try searching and posting this in the suspension section.

However, I used Hotchkis springs on my 07, lowers the car about an inch all the way around, no need to swap out the struts with a drop that subtle.

the safe way to lower the car beyond an inch would be via coilovers. Doing so with springs will severely compromise the life of the shocks, as well as completely take away any meaningful suspension travel

I don't know any shocks that are designed with a spring with 1.5 inches of drop specifically in mind. The safe way to do it is via coilovers

Ahh the voice of reason. Nice to see a vendor that tell's owner's what they need to hear, not just what they want to hear. He is not trying to steer you to spend more money, he's just telling it to you straight.

If you want to do it right, save your $$ and buy coilovers. I got a set of KW 3s and love them. You can adjust your ride height and how firm of a ride you want.
