Default NISMO S-Tune or Coilovers

Just in search of some opinions - not looking to drop my ride to the ground, just a tasteful 1 inch drop all around. I know I can go with lowering springs, but I know I'll have to change shocks sooner or later as well. So my choice is to go with the the NISMO S-Tune Suspension which is on sale by one the of the advertised vendors or go with one the many coilover systems. Has anyone out there purchased/installed the NISMO S-Tune, and if so can you share any feedback?

Thanks

Ive heard nothing but GREAT things from the Nismo suspension, besides it being "not low enough" so if that doesnt bother you go for it.

you wont even get anywhere near a 1'' drop with springs. If i were you id get a set of coilovers and be done with it. If you dont have the $ now just wait and save.

And +1 on what Z1 said, what car?

thanks for the feedback - this mod will go on my 08 Base, which is my daily driver. As I said earlier, I know I can drop the car just by going with lowering springs, i.e., Eibach, Tanabe, Tein, Hotchkis, etc. But realizing that the shocks will have to replaced sooner or later, I am considering either the NISMO S-Tune or one of the many coilover's out there. If anyone wants to recommend a coilover, please do so.
thanks

The S tune really does not have a significant drop, so that is something to keep in mind -only about 3/4 of an inch. Buying the replacement shocks for them is not cheap either. Search around, there are lots of posts that discuss them over the years. They work nicely, and behave well. Just not as flexible as a coilover setup.

again, you need to set a budget

Default S Tune

I have the full S Tune on my Z. I do not track the car nor do I drive it like I stole it. However, it does offer a improvement over stock on most road conditions. It was low enough for me when I had the Nismo body kit to have to be very carefull with the lip on the front bumper. You can see my photo section for some reference points.

My friend has a nismo s-tune and it looks and feels stock still...it will lower it a little...but coilovers will be a better investment...You will be glad you picked them over the s-tune IMO.
