Rear tower strut bar ??
Iv seem a couple pics where people who have custom roll cages installed usually cut out the rear strut tower bar and replace it with from what I have seen it looks like a 3in pipe I'm just curious If this actually makes the car stronger or more rigid than the factory bar does it stay the same or is weaker and just for show

^Yea I read it....But I just don't see why anyone would cut out the existing bar there to just replace it with a welded-in piece of pipe. It seems like it would actually LOSE strength because you're cutting existing welds and then welding new parts in???
Plus you would probably have to totally redesign the set up for the rear suspension because the struts bolt up right under that bar.

I would think it would be stronger, but i'm really not sure. I do know with the factory bar gone it will let a chassis builder weld the cage into a much better area.
