Default Euro Suspension to the US?

I just read in the British magazine EVO that Nissan has changed the suspension on the Z for release in the Euro market, citing that the current Japanese and US spec was too stiff. So they had a team of Nissan engineers based in the UK redo the suspension for the Euro market, and that Nissan liked it so much it's going to be adopted for all markets. What I want to know is if anyone has heard about this and would it be available in the 04 cars? Would they switch suspensions mid-year or do you think they'd wait for the 05's?

Too stiff? HAHHA those bloody Brits shoulda gotten a Lincoln.

They could have just switched to G35C springs and shocks.

Springs are the same Z to G coupe, it's all in the struts. Yes, a easy fix would be to adapt the coupe's sturts. But then again, you'd kill off a whole lot of Z's athletic abilities if they did that. I'd say they did something inbetween as the coupe's sturts are to different to serve with authority on the Z. You all would start crying, what'd they do to the suspension!

What it said the engineers did was actually stiffen the springs even more, but played around with the bump stops and the shocks worked over a larger range of travel. Apparently the result was better handling and it also soaked up the bumps better. British roads generally suck in comparison to American roads, very rough, bumpy, narrow and twisty. Not that it's actually that bad, but it's a tough test of a car's suspension.

I'm trying to figure out when they might implement this so I can figure out what to do. I'm learning towards Nismo suspension, just not sure if it's too rough for everyday driving. But I don't feel the current stock suspension is good enough. I was hoping this update might help, kind of bridge the difference.
