I have a 2006 Z... a few years ago, out of stupidity I had a wide body kit installed on it which now makes it look extremely low to the ground. I have cracked the kit at least once every year and the repairs are adding up... but there's no turning back on it.

I heard about air bagging it so that it will give you a remote control switch on 3 different levels that you can raise and lower your car. I want to just be able to get it high enough to clear into my driveway so I can park it in the garage.

Anyone know or heard about this that can direct me? thanx!!

 

That'll be pricey, since I'm pretty certain it would have to be all custom fabbed. There are a few "kits" out there, but nothing will really raise your car from the point it is at now at the flip of a switch. Most pre fabbed bag kits are bolt on that only lower it. the airbags generally take place of the struts and springs, then the shock is relocated and your range of motion is usually fbss etc... I could be wrong tho. I think theres a company in San Antonio that sells the kits, so if I can remember it I'll send the info your way.

look into Universal Air and Air Runner. both companies make kits for the 350z & G35. your highest & lowest settings will depend on how high you mount the bags on the struts.

Just do a title search for "airbags" and "cup kits" , you'll get a bunch of threads then go read up on it to find out what it is and pros and cons, etc...

don't do it the noob way and post a thread asking about a subject that is all over the forums, because you'll have responses like FATPUBUS' that don't make any sense

to answer your question about the presets, yes there are systems with presets. i'm running a dakota digital controller instead of a switch box so everything is pure electronics with 3 presets. technically, there are 4 because there's a builtin preset for a full system air dump. that way you can literally program 3 different drive heights if you want.

i have my 3 buttons setup for a slammed (still drivable), drive height, and raised a little to help with avoiding things.

Some air suspension kits allow you to use coilovers too so you can have the height pre adjusted with the coils so you can get your desired heights so to say. If you're ever in the Dallas area hit up Kustumz unlimited inc. They're a good shop and deal with a lot of this kind of set up. They've done the bags for the 16niss members rides.

 

i'm running a customized UAS setup on stock shocks. the best part about UAS is that they are air bag springs so you can fit them around aftermarket adjustable struts, or put them on coilovers if you remove the spring and replace it with the bag. rides fairly well on oem too though.
