Default Stance Al Coils/BC Racing Coils

Hey guys. I was wondering if you guys could help me pick out coilovers. I do not plan on tracking the car, would like to drop the car around 2 inches, and would like good ride quality and the ability to turn and go out of corners a lot better. I have heard good things about both stance and bc, but there is almost no info on the AL here. Which one would better fit my needs? The bc has 10/8k spring rate, while the al has 12/5k. Seems like a big difference.

Also, biggest question here: Which one is easier to adjust? I like bc because they have the rear dampening adjusters from the strut bar, but I heard stance is difficult to adjust in the front. Thanks.

wow 12/5 seems liek a huge difference..usually you see something like 12/10.

I have BC's and I'm very happy with them. IIRC the AL stance's are pretty much the same as the GR+Pros except its made out of forged aluminium. So...I woudlnt think they woudl be too much different from the reviews that people have said about the regular ones

The stances shoudlnt be any more different to adjust in the front than any other coilover...its easily adjusted by popping the hood and twisting the ****. Its easy to reach. The rears are easy as long as you get the extenders for it.

one is a true coilover, one isn't- the true coilover alone necessitates other things be done to properly run them (been discussed many times before). 12/5 is a tremendous spread for spring rates

cannot comment on how the stance are to adjust dampening on. The one set I used didn't seem any harder than any other coilover, but I've never tried another set after that

Yes I know what I would need for true/oem. Just wondering which would be best for me in terms of what I am looking for. I heard stance is not that great for ride quality, and the bc's are better overall. And they also have the rear dampening adjusters. But I might be getting a good deal on stance. Just want to know.

Being that the Stance product mentioned is a truecoilover rear setup, it's rear springs leverage 100% of their power to the wheel to perform work.

With 672/280 spring rates on a true coilover rear setup, this is how much spring rate is seen at the wheels to perform work 318/280

With a 560/448 spring rates on a oem rear setup, this is how much spring rate is seen at the wheels to perform work 265/189

I do not see the sense of running more then 560lbs spring rates on a non tracked car, even then you should test to get to that point.

As mentioned before, a 2" drop and wanting a good ride quality does not mix. If you can stand a 1.5" drop, you'll open up several other choices that are far more likely to delivery what your after ride quality wise. I would also ask yourself if you really need dampning adjustability. For many they will set in and forget it.

I know the exact thread your talking about, I totally agree with what was brought up, you could not pay me to run a truecoilover rear setup.

I remember your past comments about the Stance seup you drove on a customers car, don't blame you for not trying another set.
