Default NISMO Rims and LSDUnique Camber Rods

Ok I will start by saying that NONE of the pics anyone has ever seen do the NISMO rims justice. They looks great in person and much better than I thought they would based on pics I have seen. Anyways, the rims with the Toyos makes a huge difference in the feel of the car especially around a corner. You can feel the extra tire under the car and it feels a lot more stable especially at speed. I have only really driven from SA to DFW so far and have not really put the setup to the test. I think I read that the Toyos are like 4-5 lbs lighter than stock tires and the NISMOs are about 8 lbs lighter than the Touring rims. This saves me a modest estimation of 45 lbs of unsprung weight which I likes.

LSDUniques Camber arms are the best. They are beefy and work like a charm. My camber and toe in the rear was WAY off after lowering the car. With the arms in the specs are right in the middle of Nissans recommended range. Perfect. Big thanks to LSDUnique!

Sweet rims and big rubber. What more could you want. Looks tuff with all that tire in the back.

Very nice. I think the Nismo wheels have to be one of my favorites.

How much for those camber arms and where did you get it? Also do you know if you can fix the feathering problem with this mod? Anyone?

Yes, the Nismo wheels look great in person, your right a picture just doesn't do them justice. I put a set on my 6MT "G" with Dunlop SP9000s, and the handling has moved up a notch. Looks great, handles great, and no special orders. I paid $1,850 for my set.

The wheels are 18X8.5" front and 18X9.5" rear. I assume he's running 245/40 in front and 275/40 in back. Those are the recommended sizes, and the ones I'm running

Thanks for the comments guys. For the camber rods, PM lsdunique. He makes them through his company. They are for the rear wheels, but he is also making some adjustable front (A-arms??) to adjust the front but they will probably be more expensive than the rear. It sucks because right now the only thing you can adjust in the front is the toe. You cannot adjust camber or caster. LSDunique will cure that soon.

Also, the rod that is replaced to cure the pulling to the right simply throws the caster of the right front wheel way out of the original spec. When on the alignment machine it showed -9.5 deg. out of spec!

did your alignment shop have aproblem with excessive toe-in when they shortened LSD's rods to pull out the negative camber?

Mine did. I had some pretty bad toe-in and had to modify my lower control arm to pull out the excessive toe-in.

No, they pretty much just got both aspects right into spec immed. No problem. The only problem they had initially was mounting the alignment machines on the wheels damage free. A lot of electrical tape is key.

Except for the drivetrain we almost have the same car! What are your motor plans so we can do something different?

Arrow Almost off topic

Err.... noob question, if you will:

Are the Nismo wheels lighter than the track rays?

And what are the respective weights, anyway?

On topic:

Badass.

Nismos are a little heaver then the Track Rays, because they're wider. (8.5" and 9.5") vs. (8.0" and 8.5"). It's a miniscule amount however. For all intents and purposes they are the same.

I think it's one pound or less but the width makes them better!
