I ordered a set of 25mm wheel spacers

I ordered them late Thursday night and I received them Monday afternoon. So the shipping time was outstanding. I paid $112 shipped for all 4 compared to $129 for 2 of the Ichiba spacers.

One advantage I noticed about the Ichaba spacers when I installed them on my friends G35 is that they are hub centric. The ebay specials are not but the vendor also carried the proper hub centric rings for $10 more. I actually ended up ordering the wrong size rings and the vendor was able to send me the correct ones before I noticed my mistake. Over all the construction appeared the same between the Ichiba's and the cheapo brand. They are made out of a solid chunk of machined aluminum. The quality of the aluminum is unknown. I guess we'll find out if my spacer shatters. I'll be pulling them off periodically to check for stress fractures.

Now for the install!! Everything is pretty much self explanatory. Jack your car up remove your wheels put the rings on your hubs and slap on your spacers. now here is where **** gets interesting. The stock wheel studs are slightly larger then the studs on the spacers. On the Ichiba's you use the open end wheel lugs to mount the spacers to your hub. Unfortunately that's not the case with these spacers. I had to use my stock wheel lugs to mount the spacers and I used the open end lugs to install my wheels. I tried to thread the open end lugs to my stock hub and as you can tell in the picture I ended up stripping the stud.

Now if you are using the spacers with aftermarket wheels you'll have to purchase a set of open ended lug nuts to fit your stock lugs when you mount your spacers. otherwise your lug nuts are going to stick out of your spacer like in the picture and your wheels will not seat on the spacer like they are supposed to.

If your still rocking your stock wheels then you wont have to buy an extra set of lug nuts because your stock wheels have holes between each stud hole like the picture below. Your lug nuts should fit nicely in those gaps with no issues.

Now repeat the same process for the rest of the wheels except for the fronts you'll have to remove the bolt that is attached to the brake rotor.

Last thing to do is make sure everything is bolted down correctly and the nuts are bolted in the proper bolting pattern it should be in a star pattern as in the picture. Torque to 90-95 foot lbs. Do the same thing with the wheels

And boom there you have it!! enjoy your new stance. Make sure you pull your wheels off and re torque your spacers after a few days of driving then I would re check them once or twice a month to make sure they don't go anywhere

OK, i see the hubcentric part that mounts the spacer to the car, but how about the hubcentric part that make the wheel mount to the spacer?

I torqued mine down to 85 pounds, 95 seems a bit high. Also, I can see checking the ebay ones every 2 months but for brand name ones that would be a tad overkill, no?

i bought a set of 30mm spacers from ebay that have iridium goldish colored hardened stud hardware, and the hub to spacer centric ring is actually a collar thru aluminum piece, meaning it carried thru to the front and the same piece was the centering ring for the hub to spacer as well as the wheel to spacer.. good stuff.. cost me 100 bucks a pair.

Far better quality.

Never used, for sale btw.

You were supposed to use the open ended lug nuts that came with the spacers on the OEM studs to hold the spacer on, then use your original "tuner" style lugs to hold your wheels on.

With the accorn style lugs you wont need them, ive had these same ones for over a year and no probs yet, drifting and autocross.

Yeah I know but I accidentally ordered SAE size spacers for my metric hubs so the open lugs don't fit my hub hence the reason Why my stud is stripped out the way it is.

Im currently sitting on 22mm ebay spacers on the fronts. No problems with them yet.

Love these wheels on my car, too bad they are my friends wheels :/

I bought some 15mm ebay spacers from this seller: http://myworld.ebay.com/optionselects/
$75 shipped and they include the hubcentric rings. The open ended lug nuts that came with the spacers fit just fine over the stock lugs. I swap wheels a couple times a month for autocross, and always retorque all the nuts to 90ft-lbs. I've never had one to be out of spec yet, and no cracks or anything.
