Those K-Sport graphs seems a little off, the displacement/postion plots seem too consistent for shocks that are that different. I would expect to see a couple large variances in the plot as they go through their cycles with completely different valving or defective stacks. I wouldn't use that plot as a guide for anything.

So what did you end up getting? I'm in about the same exact boat as you. Some feedback would be nice. Thanks.

Props for searching before creating a new thread asking the same **** over again. Chances are, OP probably sold the car already.

Your screen name screams stance, k-sport and bc coils... GL on your decision.

EDIT: stance can lower your car up to 4 inches I believe... because lay frame son!

I second this. I have a pair of BC's on my 2010 Camaro and I absolutely hate the ride now. It is too stiff and I feel as if the car handles so much worse despite the fact.

Between those 3, stance. But, I've never had stance (yet). I've had BC's, and I feel the same as Terra does on them. I actually got rid of my BC's because of knock I couldn't figure out. I still like them for what I would use them for, but I don't know about track work because everything else that ran them were cruisers.

Ok, I think this should be the thread to post in.
I have an opportunity to get a set of Yellowspeed Coilovers delivered to my doorstep IN SOUTH AFRICA (which adds shipping and taxes and other crap taxes) for 25% cheaper than BC. and ALOT cheaper than TEIN... would it be worth it for a DD? or are they known to give issues? - my goal is for height adjustability, and slightly stiffer for spirited driving.

I have heard of BC coilovers and seen them on a few cars here, and that would have been my choice. but i never heard of yellowspeed till now and want to know if the quality and maybe Spring rates are the same?

I'm guessing "yellowspeed" is the same chinese/taiwanese garbage as BC, etc just painted a different color and called something else....

Yellowspeed is another taiwanese coilover company, they have another company called japspeed that makes exhausts, you can find the exhausts on youtube, but the coilovers look like they just started selling them from what i found on the internet

I have no dog in this fight but imo Fortune is the best "budget" brand out there. They offer custom spring rates and re-valve for free. They also complied and sent g35sedan all of the shock dynos he requested with some labor intensive demands. They have nothing to hide and all of their products are hand assembled, tested, warrantied, and re-built here in USA (Virginia). Can you say the same for Stance, BC, Megan, Etc. Etc.?

With that being said if you want a good shock, quality, and care more about performance than going low...look into K&W. I have the K&W V3's and they suit my needs and are BY FAR the best performing shock I've ridden on (I've competed in Fortune, Apexi, Stance and driven Megan, Tein, and BC).

BUT, I planned on going with OTS Koni's and RS*R springs however couldn't sell the K&W's which came with the car when I bought it. So take that for what its worth...most people (including myself) would be better off with Konis/Springs than ___________ coilovers.

^ So would you recommend the KW V2s?

I don't want to spend over $2K on coils. I care more about handling, at all speeds, than being low.

My car (G35) is a DD. I have 350z-Htechs and koni shocks. It handles really well, but I want a stiffer spring rate and a slightly lower drop (max of 2" drop total). I drive my car hard enough *sometimes* to justify having pricey coils.

I think the KWs are what I want...but I'm not sure. Is there another coil over that I would be happier with? Fortune Auto?

can't you re-valve the konis for the higher rate?

The only difference between the KW V2's and KW V3's is that the V2's are a static coil. It doesn't allow any height adjustability. That said, they're still solid. Not sure on the drop amount though.
