Default suspension measurements

I am thinking of using a salvage 350z for a locost 7 type car. Before I commit to a donner car it would be nice to CAD everything up and see how it fit.

Does anyone have a drawing with measurements, or know the measurements of the pickup point in relation to the ground/ball joints front and rear?

Thanks for your help
Drew

Rear would be easy, the subframe contains all the suspension components except the upper strut mounts. The front is a bit harder, it will take some work, but if i were building a Locost i would use the front crossmember but raise the LCA mounts 25mm and probably raise the UCA mounts the same when i fabbed up the mounts for them.

I don't plan to use any of the factory subframe... if I can help it. I am with you on moving the pickup point up. The plan would be to set the chassis ride height then set the suspension pickup points from there. Maybe even make it height adjustable.

Just need to mind the measurements and CAD it up first.

I would keep the rear subframe, it will be an easy to mount piece, lightweight and the geometry is already set well for you. Hardly anyone moves the rear pickup points, they just raise the subframe (easily done for you )

Then front on the other hand is going to be your PITA. I would use the OME eng cradle , it has your LCA mounts on it and the pickup point change is easy to do. Once that is done the UCA mount will be the only hard part, then again with fab skill it will be easy.
