To summarize:

-linear (pictures on website *appear* to agree)
-drop: .8F/.6R
-rate: 420F/460R (lbs)
-stiffer: 34%F/8%R (compared to 04.5+)

Agree?

Team ARK

You couldn't have done R&D on 03/04 oem shocks with these springs. I've tested them with spring rates close to what you've got here and the resulting ride quality was horrible. I made one freeway commute and pulled the setup fast, no biggie I knew in advance it wasn't likely going to work out.

The Z (excluding the Nismo version) has used 3 different oem shocks in it's lifetime
2003/2004 (with 314/342 spring rates)
2004.5/2005 (revised to improve ride quality, spring rates 314/427)
2006/2008 (differant part numbers, Nissan has never said anything publicly to explain why they changed, spring rates 314/427).

IMO the 03/04 shocks are out of the question to run with the spring rate's your people have come up with. All the other years may be ok, biggest concern is the 100lbs jump in spring rate in the front vs oem. I too would really recommend these springs with Tokico D-spec shocks.

I do have one question/request.

When the springs come out, can you please post a picture of the actual springs your selling for the car, vs a generic picture?

Companies are famous for posting linear spring pictures when most of their kits are progressive, so we really have no clue until the springs actually come out.

That's unfortunate. I'll have to wait for the final product photo comes in then.

This might be the last new spring set manufactured for the Z. Would be nice to have a 0.75-1.00 100% linear drop spring with sportier rates to match sportier shocks.

Found a picture on ARK's web site of their 350Z lowering spring, so we can answer the question are they linear or progressive.

Rear springs are linear (the two in the center of the picture)

The front springs (far left and far right), do look slightly progressive. I say slightly, because I think that only 1 coil would bind in use at the most. Assuming that one coil does bind, it would only slightly effect spring rate when it does, vs a spring where say, 2 or 3 coils that bind. So I estimate the following numbers.

Ark GT-F 350Z lowering spring .8"/.6" drop Slightly progressive front, linear rear
Spring rates in LBS initial/final Front 420/470 Rear 460

So, normally I do not recommend progressive springs on a sports car that is likely to be driven like one. When the springs are only slightly progressive, the rate differance is too small to worry about. Still going to recommend D-spec or Koni shocks only though.

How would the Bilstein dampers match up with these springs? What is your opinion on the drop? Your advice is always appreciated.

Just an observation but based on the photos that front end dropped a lot more than 20 mm.

I'm a bit confused. Isn't the GT-S a lower drop than the GT-F?

In the first post you list the drop as:
- Front / Rear :-20mm/-15mm

Aren't those the GT-F spring specs?

Can you clarify this as well as verify the spring rates for each application?

Those look like great springs as far as rates go. Better than Nismo S tune springs In my opinion. If I wanted a modest drop that would be the ticket...with the right shocks.
FYI..I have Nismo S tune with 448 Front (prog max) and swapped out the REARS (508 Prog max) to Eibach Prokits (421 Prog max)...keeping Nismo shocks of course... and it's friggin' fantastic! So, this Ark set up should be killer on good shocks.

I would pair them with the Koni Sport yellow shocks. For aesthetic purposes I'm curious about the lowering difference between the GT-F and GT-S. I'm also curious about the difference in spring rates.

They only have ONE type..GTF.
No GTS...spring rates and drop already provided as *GTS*, which should read *GTF*
These springs are the best rates I have seen for upgraded shocks.

I could swear at one point I saw two different applications with different drops and springs rates on their website - GTF and GTS. It's not there now so maybe I was confused then too.

edit: I figured out that what I was thinking of was the two different coilover options... DT-P and ST-P. There is only one drop spring, the GT-F. So is ARK advertising the same spring as two different model names?
