Default my car wont align properly, help!

Hi guys, over here a new 350z owner, i bought mine and after a mini tune up i took the car to align to my mechanic friend, he tried to align it and he told me that the car was out of parameters, "open" and the tires seemed like this: / \ in the front and the back, he aligned the terminals only, he told me that to adjust that measurement on the front and rear tires i needed a camber kit for front and back and so i did. I bought the kinetix full set: http://www.kinetixracing.com/kinetix...n_package.aspx

and installed it, and the car was correctly aligned on the front. However, since there i've noticed my tires with camber way affected, thing is, my car aint dropped and it wont be, 2nd, i just want to put it into parameters because it's my daily driver, i just to get the must out of the tires, my car aint for the track or nothing, just throw a few 150 MPH on the highway 2 days a year and no more, so why do i need camber kit to put my car to oEM parameters? i managed to get a view on my mechs alignment screen so here it is:

http://i334.photobucket.com/albums/m.../WP_000290.jpg

http://i334.photobucket.com/albums/m.../WP_000291.jpg

tomorow i'll throw pics of the wheels in relation to the fender.

If your mechanic is doing the alignment, then follow the advise of the mechanic. I am supposed to second guess the mechanic who has been working with the car?

Your rear camber looks fine. Your front camber in the left is ok, but the right is not right. If you bought the kinetix front upper control arms you need to know that each full turn as you thread into the arm is .18 degrees. You would need to thread the right one IN 4 turns to match the left and then you can fine tune from there. This is just a suggestion.

Does your mechanic understand how to adjust toe on the 350Z?

Look at all of the "sticky threads" above this one. That section of threads will give you all the information you need. Spend some time reading through it and it will help you. The "Suspension 101" is a great read.

F/I = Forced Induction = turbocharger or supercharger

ok so here i got the pics uploaded to my album, please see them and share opinions, do the rear tires seems misaligned? or it is just me?

http://s334.photobucket.com/albums/m409/jes1588/350z/

in a few pictures, you can see that the rear tires have the number written in white chalk maybe, in one of them, it's gettin erased because of contact with the road, but the right side doesnt, and as stated before, the alignment seems to be correct, that why this frustates me so much

The rear camber is the only thing that looks like an issue to me. I don't think I have ever seen positive camber on a Z.

You have toe out up front and toe in at the back. (Which should be fine, although the front may be a little mutch)

The front camber looks high for stock height, but I wouldn't expect it to be a problem.

The positive camber on the back could cause an oversteer-happy car though.

It looked to me like all the camber was negative (-), but the toe was positive (+).

By translating the pictures to english, his specs are as such:

Front camber = L -1.01 R -0.29
Front toe = L +0.02 R +0.02

Rear camber = L -1.56 R -1.40
Rear toe = L +0.04 R +0.04

Ah, thanks. Each pic must be specs for just one end of the car at a time. (I'm used to seeing the entire car on one screen.)

If those are the specs, it looks like cross camber is the biggest issue. (on the front)

I had bad lower control arm bushings (inner) that caused cross camber issues on the front.

Front camber is not directly adjustable stock. So I expect cross camber to be the result of improperly adjusted aftermarket arms, bad bushings, or some other sort of damage.

the priority is the back of the car, the front i'll work with it later on, the rear is the most noticeable problem, and the rear tires are new, the front ones are used so i didnt paid much, but the rears, phew!, so, in the pics, the rear tires doesnt seem straight, right? or is it just me? please tell me how to work the rear, maybe oem specs, anything, the car is supossed to be at stock height, however in the front to me it seems dropped, however suspension is stock, i only installed front A-arms and rear camber as you can see in the album pictures...

so what about the tsb? can anyone provide me with info?

It's too hard to say from the pictures. The rear tires can be perfectly straight, but might look off because of the curve of the rear bumper.

My nismo carries a ton of rear camber, even with max adjustment it's just out of spec on one side, and specs allows almost 2 degrees.

Surely not at stock ride height. How low are you?
