Default Stoptech front BBK upgrade need help

hi guys!

I just came up on a brand new stoptech 4 pot BBK - pads, SS lines, rotors, fluids etc. I have a 07 enthusiast Z with factory brakes and will be installing this kit in the nxt few days. My question is: is it okay to run this kit in the front while my rear brakes are still factory? Or will I run into any problems with power distribution etc...? Thank u

Yes'irrr!! It'll do for me till I decide to upgrade. It's the first kit I've seen here that fits the 06-08HR's so had to jump on it

Considering that stoptech covered kits for all year z's and models and also advertised how they keep brake bias and balance.... not sure why youd be of concern or ask it after youve already made your purchase. Especially for the correct year model.

But also fyi, all 350z brake kits fit all 350z's.

Um I asked because I wasn't aware of their balanced brake bias so I asked. And I asked to see if I should upgrade the rear right away in order to avoid problems or if I had time to do so and still b able to rock the fronts. And yea I'm sure u can fit all brakes on all model Z's however is it recommended to use stoptech BBK for 03-05 on 06+ models? No it's not and there is a reason as to why there are different versions of their kit anyhow. It looks like I got my question answered so thanks guys!

I don't think the 355 would fit the 4pot..does it? And the st22 is not compatible with the 06-08 350..

And you'll need a new bracket. You'll spend 1000 to do it.

and there goes my idea of upgrading lmao. Strangely enough however I checked around and food out that there isn't a 4 pot 355mm set up. It is either 355 6pot or 332 4 pot, the 4 pot has a different curvature vs the 6 pot caliper which will accommodate a larger rotor. The 6 pot caliper cannot obviously handle a smaller rotor as well.

Idk too complicated - I should b happy with what I got! and I am! Can't wait to install

you'll be fine.

the 13" kit is more than adequate for most applications.

just make sure you get a good pad for it..

the ceramics dust less, but i hated the cold bite.

I have a 4 pot 355mm kit on my rear and a 4 pot 355 mm kit boxed up for the front. They 100% do exist.

For a lOng time stop tech only offered a 4 pot front 355 kit. Their 6 pot kit was added late in the game.

THIS ! 100%

I have 13" Stoptech BB on the FRONT ONLY for my 2008 and they will stop the car with GREAT MODULATION....yes MODULATION. That means you won't lock them up or have ABS kick in either (only under EXTREME circumstances). You do NOT need the rear kit, since they designed the kit for FRONTS ONLY. So much misinformation on this BB kit is being floated around...14" will NOT stop you any better...even FRONT and REAR. 95% of the time you will NOT need 14"...only advantage there is for ENDURANCE racing with HUNDREDS of 100+ braking. All the rest is for SHOW. So, if ya want pretty brakes...get 14" all around.

so the same caliper mounted .5" further out from the center of the hub will provide the same braking tq? Something about physics makes me want to disagree.

I think there are different versions of the front ST-40 kit depending on which rear brake caliper you have (standard/brembo) - there would be a different model numbers for each. I think the only difference would be piston sizes to better balance the system... and stoptech likes to keep those piston sizes secret.
