Default Questions on Akebono adapter differences and Speed Bleeders

Hi guys! I was fortunate in finding the entire Akebono brake set from a G37s that had 7k miles, including rotors and hardware, for $800. At that price, I can afford to spring for 2-piece rotors to offset the weight increase, although I'm swapping to Akebonos mainly for looks instead of performance. I'll be going from the 2003 non-Brembos, so I'm pretty enthused about the whole thing.

While browsing through the adapters available from several sources, I saw that they all seemed capable, but had some design differences like CZP's 2-piece design vs. the 1-piece design of the other manufacturers. Is there any real advantage in choosing one design over the other?

Also, I was wondering about Speed Bleeders, those bleeder screws with one-way check valves. I searched forums to see if anyone has tried these on their Akebonos, but came up empty. Checking the manufacturers' application chart does not show any fitment data for G37s/370z/FX50. Anyone have these? I have Speed Bleeders on my old calipers and they made bleeding brakes incredibly easy.

Thanks!

I will recommend the CZP adaptors. I cannot say anything about the other designs but I used the adaptors from CZP. They include all hardware and instructions to help you out

Buy from a reputable and cpommunity participating vendor, in this case , Coz's company CZP is top of the line.. and the best part is you do NOT pay a premium to get his parts.. buy the CZP brackets and hardware and sleep well. I run the same kit and i can tell you, the 2 peice rotors up front are worth every dime.. these oem style are TANKS dude.. serious tanks.. heaviest rotor i have ever picked up. Its the same effect as having a big heavy wheel.

Thanks for the advice. I will most likely go with CZP's product. It's not often that you find high quality and low cost in the same product.

The rotors are definitely heavy. I remember the difference in the car went I went from the 20" chromed wheels from the dealer to 18" LMGT4s. I don't want to go back!
