Default New tires and wheels

This is not a wheel pic thread..sorry

Just got new wheels...19 X 8.5/ 9.5 and Sumitomo HRTZlll 245/35..275/35.
Amazing transformation. Prior set up was 18X 9.5/11 with Cooper RS 245/40..275/40. It's a different car! HRTZlll stick like glue and side walls have very little flex. Surprised to see better handling going from 18s..9.5/11 to 19s 8.5/9.5 with these tires. I have several other mods which make a difference >>
Nismo S tune with Prokit Springs rear....Cusco front bar and Tanabe rear bar.

Car is on rails...just amazing. I can't break traction..not even a squeal of the rear tires. Turn in razor sharp too. If someone from So cal wants to drive this car..come out and see for yourself.

First good thing I've heard about them. Let us know if they feel the same in about 5k miles.

Both tires are only OK street tires, and its not like you're going to push it hard enough to feel the suspension on the street.

Well, the difference is night and day and the Cooper Zeon RS only had around 15K on them. They were never as sticky as the Sumos..even new. Better performance on smaller wheels to boot. Maybe lower profile and less stretch are also factors? I *test* my all tires on various FWY entry/exit ramps that have a big decreasing radius and fairly high speed... both entry and exit. I have yet to see the limits on these. I'm very impressed.
