Default Budget friendly suspension setup

Hey guys, i've been into drifting the past year and as i have advanced my "skills", i feel i need to upgrade my suspension to take it to the next level. The stock suspension has held up great for my days of being a complete noob though, i will say.

The question: Does anyone have any recommendations on a suspension setup? How much of a difference will I notice with springs, if any? Or do i have to get coilovers to notice a real difference. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have a diff yet? You will get more out of a diff than suspension.

You probably don't want LSD for drifting. Lock the wheels together

2 way is prefurred, 1.5 will still work great. A locked (spool, welded ) is fine for a drift only car, not driven on the street.

I would suggest a true type coilover setup if you plan to keep drifting. Shoot for around the $2k setup if you want to do it right the first time.

Just be patient and keep checking for used parts on here. If you want budget it just means you want to pay less but pay more for parts later when you have to replace them. I feel I have a "budget" suspension setup. I'm happy with stiffness of the basis' coilovers but want something a little lower. Just remember you get what you pay for. It's my understanding that the car came with LSD. It's an 08 Enthusiast trim.

Terra meant buy a real LSD, stock LSD is a pile of junk.

+1 ^

Viscous LSDs only last so long because of the fluid inside of them, get a clutch type LSD and drift away

A real LSD will help you out more than any suspension money can buy for drifting

Terra has it right. OUr suspension will hold up for quite some time for DD and weekend drift duties. Upgrading that LSD will keep you from being a "1-wheeler-peeler". Your stock LSD will fail and then you'll drift great in one direction and it'll be a pain in the other direction.

My cars in no way setup for drifting but when I'm at the track and oversteer at 50-60-70mph and have steering wheel lock sideways, I don't even feel nervous my car feels very contrable. I have a OS GIKEN diff. Get a diff.
