So OP your just going for looks, no "spirited driving" or autocrossing? if you are than the stance coilovers will be just fine, if you want your car to actually perform better, grab some kw v1s or eibach street series, allows you to go low and you get a quality coilover system that wont disrupt handling, unless your completely not worried about handling

So the stance won't help handling at all? And how low do the eibach streets go?

^^^ I mean even aftermarket sway bars will improve handling... Stuart just doesn't like Z's being treated like 240's with the quality of the chinese-made bs that is sold on the market today.. but as Mike said in the end it's really what you can afford and what you want to do with your vehicle. For what you want they'll be fine IMO

Eibach Pro-Kit is a 1" F/R drop and Sportline is 1.2" F/R.

I know, Stuart. Spoon-fed

Lets go with change handling. Depending on setting they can improve handling.

I stole this from another thread about a similar discussion, just some other input:

They have nothing to hide and all of their products are hand assembled, tested, warrantied, and re-built here in USA (Virginia). Can you say the same for Stance, BC, Megan, Etc. Etc.?

With that being said if you want a good shock, quality, and care more about performance than going low...look into K&W. I have the K&W V3's and they suit my needs and are BY FAR the best performing shock I've ridden on (I've competed in Fortune, Apexi, Stance and driven Megan, Tein, and BC).

BUT, I planned on going with OTS Koni's and RS*R springs however couldn't sell the K&W's which came with the car when I bought it. So take that for what its worth...most people (including myself) would be better off with Konis/Springs than ___________ coilovers.

Feal Suspension also does the revalve/rebuild thing with china coilovers. Odi does great work at the shop, i'm half tempted to send him my motons soon.

I forgot about Feals/don't know much about them. But like you said seems to run in the same fashion. Materials come from China or Taiwan but are built/valved stateside in a small controlled setting. Compared to Fortune I do like that Feals stuff is built by a veteran driver. Terry (Fortune) isn't a pro driver but his valving has helped win a couple Redline TA's with OTS Fortune 500. I keep hearing they are neck and neck in terms of quality so its personal preference.

I am just happy there are options other than mass produced generic crap for people on a budget. But then it comes down to how do they (Feal/Fortune) compare to Konis w/ good springs? They can be had for the same price if not cheaper and will arguably perform better at the expense of height adjustability. Granted if you care about performance the mild drop with springs will be sufficient (in most cases were someone is trying save money).

They answered you pretty much, stancing isnt about setting up a suspension for handling, its just for looks, it doesnt really improve handling just lowering your Center of Gravity, you have to count the other variables such as your spring rates on both your springs and tires, your valving ranges on your shocks, your alignment, etc.., eibachs lower up to 1.5' iirc, search it there are a couple threads with that info

not sure if anyone recommended this yet, but may i suggest finding some lightly used or never installed coilovers in either the FS section here or the G35 FS sections. If your patient you might be able to find coilovers from Cusco, HKS, Bilstein, KW, Koni, etc. from a user with a good itrader rating. I myself bought a set of never installed display/demo hipermax coilvers from a vendor on G35driver. Ended up saving something like $800 vs buying new. Your $1500 cap is not unreasonable for a quality coilover if you shop smart and are patient. Also consider that coilovers from some brands are easier to have rebuilt than others making purchasing used an ever more appealing proposition. ...just another option for the budget conscious

Anyone ever heard of Feal coilovers? I was recommended those over Stance. Just as low with a better ride. Let me know if you have any feedback.

Feal was just discussed a few posts up.

I'll break this down as simply as I can. If you going to go with sub $2000 coilovers. Go with either Feal or Fortune. Both are assembled and valved in the U.S. and allow custom spring rates and valving. NO other brands offer their features in that price range. Check out reviews and the websites on both and make your decision. The next step up would be Bilstein Pss or K&W v2, but again...Koni yellows with good springs would be cheaper and arguably better on the track than all of those options.
