Who's installed springs/coil overs lately?
Anyone get one product/manufacturer, and change to another?
I'm looking at going with the Eibachs, overall seems to get good feedback, and then completely negative. Used to seeing more of an even spread.
I'm also going to the Nitto 555, 35series on my 18's from Rays.
Any advise here before I take the plunge on Tuesday? Also while the car is in the air, I'm getting my Rays re-coated to a gun metal with ultra high gloss. Either that or get them daytona blue to match my DB 350z Track.
Anyone see a DB with Colored (other than grey/black/white) wheels? Pictures anyone/anywhere?

If you want to go with springs only...
Id say TEIN first... then Eibach...
TEIN's seem to be very well balanced for the Z... Very nice ride either with S-Tech or H-Tech versions...
TEIN S-Tech have a heavier spring rate at 386 on the front and 402 on the rear. .7 drp in the front and .6 in the rear. Much nicer ride then stock while retaining the road hugging sporty feel.
TEIN H-Tech have a lighter spring rate, their Luxury springs... 358 in the front at 375 in the rear. A more smoother more "floaty" ride but still hugging the pavement. a .3 inch drop in the front and .2 in the rear. If you own a Z and just want a better ride. Go for these...
EIBACH Pro Kit... 1" drop all around, you will replace your shocks faster since they will wear more. ride is a bit harsher then the S-Tech's...
now... if you want to go up a level...
Tein Basic Coilover - The ride is very smooth and very secure... 503 spring rate front and rear and full height adjustment shocks... cost is a bit more then just doing the springs.. but, if you do the springs only you will be replacing the shocks soon after and bring you above the cost of the basics...
Tein CS - their dampning adjustable coil over with a very plush ride... if you get this suspension i recomend getting adjustable sways like teh Stillen / Eibach and the EDFC (electronic damping force controller) because you will want to put it on the stiffest setting all the time.
TEIN FLex - a little harder ride then stock but with the EDFC unit you can go out and not bump around your passangers head putting it on a soft setting...
botht he CS and FLEX suspensions are full height adjustable and include pillow ball mounts for reduced road noise and suspension noise... a HUGE improvement over stock....
doing only springs alone... or even the Basic or FLEX suspension you will find your turns have less body roll... totally changes the car to an even more of a sport car handling...

the spring rate on the stock Z is way off when used on the shocks we have...
even putting my nismo wheels on my car with no other adjustments fixed my feathering problem...
every z i have ridden in with suspension upgrades rode better, hugged the road better, then any stock z...

Ok so I am looking into suspension again.
After my last track outting at ButtonWillow it is clear, I need it when you combine technical with speed.
I realize the Tein with EDFC is the "way to go".
I suppose I could get something from Tein that is EDFC ready, right?
Anyone have anyting to add other than what is already in this thread?

I just installed a set of HKS Hypermax II's the other day. So far so good. Great range of dampner settings (30)> Price is a little steep but you get what you pay for. They replaced my stock shocks with Eibach springs, which worked just fine.

I've got eibachs, and love them/ for shocks I recently ordered Tokico D-specs from stillen, on sale til 10/15/04 for 439. 16 way adjustable in rebound & compression. Should be as good as a coil over system.

What was once my track and weekend car suddenly became my daily driver and im looking to purchase another vehicle and may replace the Z with a C6 corvette in a few months so Ill be parting out other things if I go that route. Specifically these coilovers are great for track and smooth roads. Also since im currently driving the Z more now than ever I needed something that rode more like stock instead of track firm.

Nice car situation you have there, must be rough.
