Looking for In-Depth review for the Ohlins DFV Coilovers
As the title states, I'm looking for an in depth insight into these coilovers. I've seen very little on the forums and majority of reviews [albeit mixed] on other car platforms [mostly Porsche/BMW]. Some areas i was interested are listed below:
Everyday/Track useage
Rebuild/Revalve services
Single adjustable ever become a limiting factor
Install issues [doubtful but interested to see any negatives]
Images on Z's
KW Clubsports, AST 4100, Tein Super Racing are all roughly in the <3K range. KW clubsports were my primary choice until I found out recently prices for the Ohlins setup had dropped.
**Key points: I like to do things once when it comes to mods. I realize my abilities and usage are far less than the capabilities of the aforementioned coilovers. However, I'd like to have something capable when my time and interests progress further with the intentions of my car.**

If you can wait I ordered mine about a week ago. Should be another week or two till I get them. Ran into the same problem, but between what was on here and the other car forums, everything sounded good.
ive had mine for about 4 years now. they are great all purpose coilover but i am no expert. the ability to adjust the rear dampening without any extension cables is awesome and they have a great dampening range. overall fit and quality is excellent. The instructions are thorough enough combined with DIY threads. The lowering range is great for my needs...I am not a slammed guy.
I recommend full soft for daily then 10 for auto cross. any more stiffer is really rough. Ohlins USA is out of NC so getting them rebuilt should be easy but I haven't had to have it done. Make sure you set the preload properly and you will be good to go.
Note: I recommend using the oem top mounts instead of the supplied pillowball mounts from the rear struts. The noise the pillowballs make is really annoying and never goes away. The oem ones fit and work great.

How many miles do you have on them so far Suprasam, any other suspension modifications with your setup? Great tip on the top mounts, i will research this further.
I would say I have 40k on the ohlins. I did spc rear camber arms and toe bolts. I did the front bushings (compression rods, lower arms) last year and I have SPL front UCA and powergrid rear endlinks with whiteline fronts. annnnd hotchkis sway bars. I think that is it for the suspension.
