Default Least drop coils

Hi,

I'm looking for a set of coilovers for adjustability, but I want a minimum drop. The problem I have is that I have Vertex front and sides, that already have an effective drop. It lookks great, but driveways are already a problem. Going to coilovers will only exacerbate the issue.

So, you guys know of any coilovers with a high ride? i know the HKS units can maintain stock height, but they are not a true coilover.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Ask yourself why you even want coilovers?

Why not just get some quality shocks (i.e. Tokico Blues) and start there? Then maybe the Hotchkis springs and bars.

FWIW, my favorite non-lowered street setup is the OEM (not S-Tune) Nismo shocks and springs, with the Nismo front bar and Hotchkis rear bar. Works especially well with some lightweight wheels.

I want coilovers for adjustability at the track. Springs & shocks provide no adjustabililty and by default have a drop. I'm looking for the variable damping/rebound, and ride height adjustability for corner balancing. I prefer to not drop the car, or at least drop it as little as possible.

I don't know of any coil over shock body that is as long as the stock shock body. So, there will be a drop inevitably if you decide to go that route. If you're not planning on dropping it or don't WANT to drop it, why don't you try to find a setup that you can live with "on the track" and on the street?

Either way, it sounds like you either have to accept a drop that's more than what you want (I think even the least amount is around 2 inches) or spring for a custom setup. That's high dollar, but it'll give you what you want.

The HKS is the same as stock, but is not a true coilover. I'm hoping to find one that is as close as possible.

That's still a lot. The PSS10s are a minimum of 0.8, but they are not a track-oriented setup. More of a great street setup. If I could find a linear spring in a drop of ~0.5, that would be awesome.

Welp, maybe you go with HKS coilovers and then get custom rate swift springs. Are there any track setups that are true coil overs? The only true I know of are made for getting low.

kW coilovers can be run pretty high , the other great option would be contacting Feal coilovers. Have a custom set made with a longer stroke that will be optimized at near OEM height with springs that are optimized for your application.

Sounds like the RSR springs are right up your alley. Linear, .6 drop all around with pretty good rates

Thank you, but again, looking for a coilover for adjustable damping and corner balancing. Drop springs do not provide ability to balance.

You could use some adjustable shocks, like Koni's, and corner-balance with adjustable sway bar endlnks, like the Powergrids.
