Default Brake Bias

Some companies/websites sell just fronts or rears separately
Some companies offer different setups 6piston/4piston or 6piston/2piston

Do setups that are sold both front and rear have the 350z's brake bias ratios in mind?

Basically I'm confused with all the options, and I don't understand why some websites or companies just sell fronts or rears by themselves if it will ruin your braking system...

Is there any to tune brake bias?

Would that mean the Akebono 370z big brakes might even be worse than OEM setup?

Some dont care about brake bias and just want bling. Some want different brake bias than factory.

Most bbk owner owns them for bling. I know for sure stoptech build kits with oem brake bias in mind,

Yes, there is a way of tuning brake bias through a re-distribution of F&R fluid pressures. This is usually accomplished using an adjustable brake proportioning valve and controlled using a device called a brake balancing bar (a general term as it can be a **** or dial or somesuch, depending on mfgr).

However, this isn't usually something generally done on street driven cars due to the varying demands on brakes in "public driving". Not saying it shouldn't be installed, just saying it's a touchy thing to do.

As far as kits are concerned, full setups from reputable companies have carefully designed their kits for specific cars and the type of bias offered by the stock hydraulic systems.

Caveat: Not ALL.... so you are wise to be concerned about such a thing. Frankly, I'd agree with T'bo (turboed350z) that many of the BBKs out there just aren't used anywhere near their potential but "damn, they LOOK nice". And saying that, many don't even think about the bias issue because it really only rears its ugly head in hard use situations, not so much in casual usage.

The Akebono setup IS OEM, just not for the Z33. However, the Z34/G37 Sport brakes work just fine with the Z33 hydraulic system set up.
