Default 425 plus tax to replace a wheel bearing?

Does that sound right? Went in to a local Z specialty garage for an oil change and said a wheel bearing needs replacing to the tune of 425 plus tax, and that I should get it done before the hub goes, which would be another 230. Seems a little steep to me?

Rear bearing , axle has to come out, most of the ebrake stuff comes out , 4 bolts on the backside of the bearing and it comes out. The press the hub out, if it's making noise , it's probably already trashed ( both of mine were ) , press the hub into bearing , and boot the rest up.

3 hours labor , bearing and probably a hub.

My rule of thumb is, assess the issue, if you have the tools and can tackle it yourself, do it. Otherwise, have a shop handle it.
