Default G35 struts on 350z

Will g35 struts fit and solve the dreaded bounce problem? From What i have read the spring rates are the same so would that be an easy solution to the problem?

you are looking at getting a lift...

the z suspensino lowers the G's about 1.2 inches...

just put on a set of TEIN S-Tech springs

With the TEIN S-Tech springs can I keep stock struts and still get rid of the bounce.

yes...

it makes the ride more sporty but gets rid of the bounce by changing the spring rate...

Your thinking about the sedan, the G35 coupe springs and struts have the same right height as the Z. Running them would allow a Z owner to have a stock Z ride height and to kill the bounce. The coupe's oem spring rates are the same as the Z, the coupe struts are valved a lot softer than the Z. As mentioned, they would kill the bounce, but also a lot of the performance and snap that the Z is known for. But, they may be even more to some people's hearts desires, depend's I guess.

SIDENOTE: A reflection of the coupe's softer strut valving can be seen at how the aftermarket R&D's the coupe's spring rates softer than the same spring used in the Z.

Sedan struts are 3/4" taller than the Z sturts, unloaded spring lengths are also longer and yes sedan springs and struts would raise a 350Z 7/8" front and 1 1/8" rear. Nothing would stop someone from running the struts only, just make darn sure you DO NOT use non sport sturts, use sport struts only.

Neither car actually has struts... that's a pretty big misnomer, just fyi.

Sorry, didn't mean to render that part of the car as unidentifiable.
Shame on me I'll make sure to call them shocks from now on.

Misnomer:
An error in naming a person or place.

Application of a wrong name.
A name wrongly or unsuitably applied to a person or an object.

Not unidentifiable, rather potentially confusing to someone reading this who doesn't know the difference. I'm not trying to **** in your pool, but imagine someone read that strut-type coil-overs come with camber plates from say... bob's damper barn, and they figure that includes their Z or G because they read somewhere about having struts.

Eh, we both think to hard

Some peope already salivate over adjustable pillow ball mounts on FM applications.

No one's going to get wrong idea's because I said strut instead of shock, for that to happen a whole bunch of things would have to be done wrong over and above my misnomer. But wrong is wrong and I'll say it right from now on.
