2003 has a bad ABS module, options?

2003 has a bad ABS module, options?
So my son's 2003 has brake shutter. Shop said they can't get one new maybe used for $1,200 . What are all the options here? Delete?,Junk yard?

I'm not sure if it's led, but you could put a piece of duct tape over it if anything if you need to pass inspection

How does this thing unplug exactly? I don't want to break the connector. It's grey with a push tab but it doesn't come loose.
Nevermind I got it. I guess I'm stuck with all the lights on on the dash?

No speedometer. Have to alter the fuse as seen on a youtube vid.
