Default Lowering spring size differences

Why are most of the Z33 springs lower in the rear more than they are in the front? Is it because the OEM rear sits too high?

I think thier chasing improved appearance that they feel their custom's want. However, when I installed the Z33 suspension on my sedan, I did discover that it lowered my car 1" front and 1 1/8" rear. I've always chalked it up that it might be Nissan's way of getting a particular performance element, I dunno.
