NICE! Stock 18s never looked so good

Might look good with some spacers to push the wheels out a little.

Nice Drop, Nice Rex, Nice pics!

I didn't realize the A2's dropped the Z so much.

I'm glad to see another Z owner on the boards in the Puget Sound area. We need to plan a get together pronto!

I cringe to see that.

How do you like the feel of the bumpstops?

Luckily the ridiculous camber let you tuck the tires up under the fenders.

but hey.. to each his own. I hope you like it. They're a really nice set of coilovers if you give them a little bit of room for suspension travel. Try raising it up about 1 to 1.5 inches and compare the ride and performance.

I run the same setup, with perhaps a TAD higher ride-height.

After running the tail of the dragon, etc... I have YET to feel a bump-stop.

You really have no clue how stiff this spring setup is do you?

Yes, ungodly stiff. I researched the JICs (among others) a few months back. Their spring rates are the sole reason I don't have them on my car right now. They seem like great track coilovers, but not so great street coilovers. Even though my Z is a second car, I'm not sure that I want to make that much of a compromise in street manners.

Perhaps you can offer your perspective? How does your car ride? Do you feel the performance/ride tradeoff was worth it?

(I'll apologize for being somewhat rude in my first post. I just hate the "slammed" look. Like I said before, though, to each his own. Hopefully the owner is happy.)

Thanks for the compliments guys. It was fun shooting these cause we found a damn good location. We need to have the local Z's meet up here sometime.

Daily driving is a breeze because the roads in my area are for the most part nice and smooth, and so it hasnt been much of a hassle. I dont think ive ever scraped on a speed bump, although i dodge them when i can. As for the ride, id have to say it is a bit on the stiff side. (with dampening on 5 all around, 15 being stiffest) Raising it might help, but im gonna keep it slammed until i have to raise it for some wider 19's im tryin to get. My alignment right now is really good for how low its dropped. I think the front camber is within 1degree, and rear within 0.75 of recomended camber.

As for the drop, i think its lowered around 2"?? I havent really measured with stock car. If you were wondering, it can go lower, but i dont see why you would.

Im used to the harsher rides of lowered cars, cause my last car (2000 e46 323i) had coils. I can understand how many others would not prefer this setup. I sometimes wonder if i should have gone with a more civil setup, but I have no regrets cause these perform way better than stock on the twisties. Plus, the drop is nice. Overall im pretty happy.

It's extremely harsh, and VERY unforgiving.

This setup is like the Tilton package, 268+ cams, etc... If you're not REALLY wanting to play with the bigdogs I'd not think about them.

I've had dates comment my car feels like a go-cart skipping around a track.

Although the JIC FLT-A2 are track coilovers, they are very streetable. But this is coming from a guy that likes stiff suspension. Anyways the Z is faster I'm a TurboXS Stage 2+ and I can barely hang lol. Oh well... Anyways I'll take more pics of my car when I get my front mount in. Just sitting in my room collecting dust...
