i dont know men, u'll need a better rear brake to balance out the whole car's brake balance, my guess is the abs will kick in fairly early with front 6 pot and rear 2 pot?
i cant comment on how they do on street, since i dont usaully drive my car on the street, but they squeaks!!
By 'No', I meant that I only got the fronts instead of all around. It's the same 14" / 355 mm front set-up.

I think that it would have been ideal to get the kit all around but as has been mentioned in this forum before, the number of pistons isn't THE factor in braking power. I don't think that there will be any issue in terms of F to R bias as these top manufacturers (endless, stoptech, brembo, etc) know that many will run the Front kit's only.

o, i thought i did the simple math wrong.

# of piston isnt the factor in braking power, however, with only upgrade the front brake to a 355m rotor with 6 pot caliper will effect the brake bias.brake bias is about having the front and rear brake deliver torque in the same ratio as your weight distribution.so with just upgrading your front brake, the balance is messed up.

mabye some of the brake guy can have a better explanation then i do?

I actually understand exactly what you are saying and see the point of your argument. I just disagree with your position.

I know for a fact that Stoptech makes their kits so that you'll have max performance regardless of whether you get the fronts only or a complete set. I have no doubt that JRitt will back me up here. They probably do this by keeping the bias or stopping power at or very close to stock.

Whether my faith in a company like Endless is warranted or not, I would wager that they have done just as much R&D (if not more) and have their kits at or very close to stock both front and rear. This way, customers like you and me (or is it I) can reap the benefits of their products whether they go with all four corners or just the fronts.

GYZ,
Love the car as always, brakes look great, wish you told me that you were getting rid of the Brembos, have a friend that is also building a racecar that would have bought them, oh well. Car looks awesome with the new brakes. I was looking at the Power House Amuse website, you definately need to get rid of the Nismo wing and get the Power House Amuse rear wing, would look great with the rest of the body kit.

Alex

PS: We are working on the 350Z again this Saturday, should have the rollcage completly finished (I hope!), if we get it all done then off to the paint shop!!

o, ic where ur point of view now.
guess we all dont know how much R&D endless do on this brake kit.
i see what u mean, and i cant argue with it since i dont know how much R&D endless put down.
but its a fact that with just the 6 pot front setup, the balance is being messed up, and getting the whole kit will at least balance it out more.and its up to you to decide if its worth the money to do the rear brake kit which we have no idea how much R&D endless put down for the brake bias.

so your going to track your car with your G too?

i create a thread to sell my brembo kit for a while already!! o well!!
i'll definitly change the nismo wing on my car, but thinking to get a low mount GT wing to replace it after my project car is done.becuase with all the weight saving, i'll need more downforce on the track.other then that, i dont think i'm gonna do anything for just look now.

what material is the rollcage? how many point? and how heavy you think it is?

yup. I'm a relative newb to the track but it's a freakin blast. Hopefully, the new brakes will let me worry about everything else going on instead of brake fade/nasty surprise.

GYZ,
the Rollcage is 8-point design with a lot of triangulation, 1.75" steel tubing, probably weight around 100lbs. The car itself should weight around 3000lbs by the time we are done. I am hoping we get the rollcage finished tommorow, if we do, then hopefully we will have the car reassembled and on the road by mid-December.

I still think the Power House Amuse wing would look great, I have not seen one in a car in the US yet. But if you dont get the PHA wing then the NISMO GT wing would be cool.

I was at the SEMA show and i believe Yokohama Advan is bringing in the AD07 in the US market early first quarter of 2005. I guess the sizes will be limited like the A048. And yes its a pretty sexy/great tire.

100lbs is pretty light for a 8 point rollcage men, my friend got a chomoly rollcage on his s2k, and the stuff weighs around 100lbs too!!dont forgot to post some pic up after the roll cage is done men.

i'd only want to have low mount GT wing since having a high mount one will effect the drag a lot.+ that kind of downforce is really too much for z.

Great setup GY-Z! Looks amazing! I'm glad someone else is running the Endless setup too. In the long run, I should have gotten the 355mm setup for my fronts instead of the 370mm rotors. I can't fit any 18" rims over the fronts and there are NO R-compound tires in 19's. Anyway, I digress. Nice setup!

Ah, memories. I miss those rims. Thanks for pulling up this pic Paul.

I now work at Technosquare and use this name to answer questions without confusion from my old name.
