Dealership Incentives/Finance Specials for Feb?
Hey All:
I'll be purchasing a 6spd Enthusiast this month and was wondering if there were any special Nissan and/or dealer incentives/holdbacks/finance rates for the month of February?
Thanks in advance,
cmB

negative.
if they havent made their goal by the end of the month, they're usually lookin for another job anyways. on top of that, more salespeople meet their goals by the 15th, and will stand pretty firm as they'd rather have you come back the following month when they "need" you as a number. this is also the time when the sales managers are lookin to make money to meet profit goals or they're gonna be out lookin for a new job themselves.
go at the beginning of the month. most dealership GM's do a "fast start" bonus of up to $500 if a salesperson sells 5+ before the 10th of the month.
also, the beginning of the year before tax refunds, typically Jan and Feb, are the slowest months of the year due to xmas and people owing on taxes. dealers are usually desperate to sell as it's slow, plus they have old inventory to clear out before they end up paying excessive lot fees on stagnant inventory (older than 90 days). July through September are decent buying months as summer brings about a slump due to people taking vacations and people holding out for newer models that will roll in only a couple of months. March through June are usually the months to avoid due to increased sales of gift cars for grads, college grads buying new cars to celebrate new jobs, and tax returns funding down payments. another bad time to buy is in the fall when new models traditionally roll out.
watch the rebate trends for the big 3... when the big, widespread rebates start flowing and every other TV ad you see is for a car company, this is usually time to buy as they're desperate... these are the traditionally slow times. and never mind that there's a lot of people in the dealership at these times, as this is when the "cockroaches" come in... they didnt have the funds to buy at near full price, and now then they find out during rebate season that they still cant buy as their credit sucks.
