planning on a Z
Hi, I'm finally deciding to take the jump b/c I have found a great condition 05 Z for $17,000. Im selling my car for about 10 and fronting the 7 to get it. What I was wondering is if they fixed the feathering problem in 05, because if they didn't I might reconsider. So, before I take the plunge, can someone please answer that? Thank you..

i have an 05, no tire feathering, and i ahvent heard of an 05 having the problem yet. you can use the search function and there are hundreds of threads on it. clearly the people with the issues speak louder than the majority who dont ahve any problems, as anyone would.
what are the miles on the z, what trim level, etc.?

Im not exactly savvy on the trim level, it has navi and HID's so whatever trim that would make it (I don't think it's touring.) It's silver and I haven't driven it yet, the person im buying it from says it has under 10k miles. Silver (im sick of black). Ill get some pics up of the saturn im letting go . Loved the car... I just need something faster (15.9 1/4 in an econobox wasn't all that bad). It was my first car but I can't get enough of the Z. My 02 sc2 mods: aem cai, nology hotwires, SMS 52mm TB, Thermal R/D exhaust, 2" intrax drop, 17" motegi's wrapped in 205 kuhmo, front and rear STB (front vibrant and rear twistec) Saturn expressions spoiler, tinted tailights, ball bearing short shifter w/ motegi combat evo ****+boot. Alpine 9855 w/ alpine type r components and coaxles hooked up to a rockford p4004 400rms and an infinity basslink in the trunk. Kinda sad to see it go, but for a Z, anything. Im gonna see if I can get 9500 for the saturn without the audio, I've already gotten a few calls.

That price is kind of rediculous. Make sure you can go see it person, because if it is on the internet it might be a scam. I remember finding a loaded 04 touring for about 14k on autotrader. SCAM!

I know i know, im checking it out very soon, but dont worry I have another backup around the same price (18k) thats a 04 with the same trim (navi and HID) with 20kmiles (its an 04) in the blue color. I drove the blue one and it was AWESOME, drove like the new ones from the dealership. I already got a carfax on the 05 and it has a clean title, but you can be sure that I'm going to be all over that *****. Probably going to pay to get it inspected if I decide I want it.

Oh and both these cars I have seen IRL, and my girlfriend's dad owns a paint shop and he said that it hadn't been repainted (I don't know how he knew) so it hasn't been in an accident. I haven't driven the silver one yet.

I always buy my cars at vlow prices, I just shop around. The market in socal is pretty damn good right now, thats how I'm finding these. I bought my car for 6k, put about 4 or 5k in it and now can sell it for about 9.5 so I almost broke even with putting 15k miles on it. Im gonna look at the silver one soon.
