I went to test drive a Z today. I went over to Courtesy Nissan of Central Expressway for those that know Dallas, and I sat in a 2006 Z. There was no legroom for me, and I left totally dishearted. I went down the street to Crest Infinti and checked out a G35 coupe. Tons of room ... but the price tag was a little too high for me.

Then for the hell of it I sat in a used 350Z that they had there, a 2003 model. There was way more room ... I actually fit. I might have even bought that one except the sales guy was being real shady about the price, and the interior looked pretty yucky (read: ragged out).

Does anyone know if the car changed size in between 2003 and the later years? I went and sat in a few more 04+ today and they were all too small.

I guess I will have to get an 03 ... there are a couple around town. Does anyone have any info about interior size?

 

I don't think there is any difference. Did you adjust the seat all the way back on the non-03 models?

 

the only difference which is so minor it really can't make any difference is the knee pads.

 

Yes, I adjusted the seat all the way back ... and the steering column all the way up. I can honestly say the the 03's have more room on the inside. What was the only difference between the models that was minor?
