Default *Found* 05' Blue 3k miles $24991 good deal?

like the title says i've been looking for a z for a few months now and today i came across a 2005 blue 6 speed enthusiast i believe.Car has 3500 miles Dealer was asking 24991. car is in absolutely perfect condition no flaws anywhere in the paint or body. managed to talk them down to 23,800. I think i'm gonna go for it. Am i getting as good of a deal as i think i am? Any questions i should ask about it? thanks

Agreed......if you are really serious about getting it...pay the cash and check the VIN number on one of those car history sites. You don't want to end up getting a flood car from New Orleans

well its a very large nissan dealership around here. January is a super slow month for sales plus its winter and its a sports car. Heres a little more backstory. the price listed in autotrader was 26991 which was reasonable. when we went to the dealership the price was 24991 on the windshield. the salesman found out after we started talking about it that that price was wrong but he couldnt go back on it. He didnt want to budge on the price at all after that but we got him to 24,100 anyways. he wouldnt go any further so we walked out. Only then did he call us back later and offer us 23,700.

The reason they could afford to lose on the car is because the are the original sellers of the car. the guy that bought it couldnt afford it and traded it for an altima or somethin. so they have already made their money on this car once. this will just be a second time so they can afford to lower the price the way i see it.

correct me if i'm wrong on any of this. I'm going to talk to him again today and if i can get him to 23000 i'm gonna do it today.

Let me put it this way, my Performance 2003 with 19K miles and no modifications at all was written off at 23,500. 23,700 is extremely good for an '05 if true. And a dealer isn't going to sacrifice profit just because they made a profit one other time.

well i went in again today and test drove it and talked to the guys a little more. The car feels faster than an 03 i drove a couple days ago. Anyways, talked em down to 23,400. Told them that i'll sign the papers for 23,000 just to see if i can get it. He said hes gonna talk to his manager monday morning and see if he can possibly do it at all. if not, i'll get it anyways. i think i'm gettin a pretty great deal here.

Also, I found out the 19s on my current car will fit the z with wider tires on them so i'll be selling the stock 17's most likely. How much could i get for the enthusiast wheels? brand new wheels brand new tires.

well its got 3500 miles on it so what could really be that wrong with it? Its already been certified and has the full power train 60k mile powertrain warranty 3 year 36k bumper to bumper. but thanks for the tip. for the little money it costs i'd sleep a lil better having it in writing that its all ok

all the bankstons are owned by the same people so if the guy at dallas wont do it talk to the guys at lewisville or irving. Any of them can take the cars from the different lots. i'm getting mine for 23,400 right now and its got less miles than the one u want..i'd tell them the deal i'm getting and tell them its only fair that u get the same or better since it has more miles.

Don't kid yourself... these guys are not going to "lose" on the car! They make money from every sale. They will make money off of you, too.

i'm well aware they are in the business to make money. I myself am in a commision based sales job as well. And yes i know they will turn a profit regardless or they would not let the car go. BUT they will cut into their profit some knowing that theyve already made money on the car before if they can get the car off their lot.

I originally talked to a salesman named puente but the last time i was there the floor manager took over the sale and i wouldprefer to deal with him. He seems much more knowlegeable than my original salesman. His name is Eric Estrada 972-438-4300
