Default as many choices as baskin robbins

we all know that the Z comes in 5 different trim levels. my question is whether it is worth spending for the traction control system if i was going to make steps to improve the handling anyway? and asfar as sway bars go, should i invest in the nismo package or get aftermarket ones? and what is the "vehicle dynamic control?"

You, sir, need to spend a lot of time using the search feature and also just browsing these forums in general.

Here's some quicky answers for you though:

TCS - anti-wheel spin, useful if one side of the car loses traction
VDC - anti-over/understeer (anti-spinning out) PLUS TCS,

when either of these kick in, the car will brake, cut the throttle momentarily, and it will suck for driving spirit. You want them if possible. Great to have. Leave them ON in any sort of weather, feel free to turn them off in dry, safe conditions unless you're paranoid.

If you get the Enthusiast model or better, you get a limited slip differential. Base model, no LSD. The stock one is good enough unless you're a hardcore track fanatic, in which case you should consider an aftermarket LSD.

Nismo = overpriced in general. Don't look to nismo items first if there is a cheaper, better alternative. For sways, there are many options not as expensive as nismo and just as good.

Enthusiast is the best bang for the buck trim level. Base is good if you're planning on making the car an all-out track monster.

Welcome to the site.

hmm...well i was gonna go with the base since i figured i was going to end up replacing most of the parts anyway, but the traction control does seem like a good feature to have...and since i dont plan on pushing the speedo past the top, i suppose i dont need the VDC. thanks for the info.

I can’t tell you which model is best for you, but I can tell you the most popular models with 350Z owners.

Since the cloth on the 06's is so much more comfortable and nicer looking than the cloth from 03-05, I wouldn't be surprised if we see more enthusiasts on the road this year.

Entusiast is only 1-2 Gs over Base & you get lots of goodies.

Go to the Nissan site & look up what you get with each model.
