Default get an 03?

Hey i am always skeptical when buying a car from the first year it was made (i have an 02 wrx with lots of mods, but it was hard tobuy it since it was the first year over here) anyways i hear the 03's have some problems, i tried searching but through all the posts and being at work it was hard to really obtain what iwas looking for.

Pretty much is it worth it to get an 03, and if not, did they fix some problems going into 04?

David

for the most part if you get an 03 your most likly going to be fine but if you just look around you can find a 04 for around the same price so i would suggest you just wait around and look for an 04 but there are plenty of owners with 03's that have no problems.....

no problems here.....well, except for a little grinding in 6th gear...but i think that was just from the previous driver not knowing how to drive a stick...other than that, my car has been completely reliable.....45k miles

03's are fine man, just pay close attention to who youre buying from, amt of mileage, and if they drove it like crap. so far my 03 with 18000 miles is perfect. good luck!

03's had sever noted common problems including tire feathering (most common) and transmission problems.

These were both fixed in the second half of the 04's.
