Default "At-dealership aftermarket" leather seat swap?

It's been really hard finding a magnetic black coupe with burnt orange leather. dealerships just don't carry them. (am I just an oddball and have poor taste?)

anyway, one dealership is offering to sell a black touring and will swap the leather to burnt orange right there, with no extra charge. Is this pretty legit for a Nissan dealership? They said they would look EXACTLY like factory-installed. (Of course they wouldn't do it until I have pretty much committed to the car.) What do you guys think?

Dude,

you can do WAY better than that. Just making it clear, are you talk about the OTD Price (out-the-door, includes tax, title, destination charge, everything)? If you're talking about OTD price, than that's ok. If not, you can do better.

I'm currently negoitiating for a touring and it's down to 33.4K OTD, which is about 30.3K after subtracting the 10% tax, title, etc. That is $1K BELOW invoice of 31,350.

First dealer I contacted told me they were selling all their 350Z's 3-4 hundred above invoice, but that's bs. You should target at least 500 below invoice. Every time they call me, the price gets lower. Be patient, but I'm probably gonna lock in my deal soon, since it's good enough for me.

I got a similar offer when I told a salesman at Green Gifford I was looking for a touring model. He wanted to charge me an additional $800, but I wouldn't get the seat heaters. I told him I wasn't interested in aftermarket leather and he got all huffy so I left. I found a touring model with nearly half the miles somewhere else for less than $2000 than what he wanted for his enthusiast model.

Its possible, but the seats are going to cost you. The price may not show on the sales documentation, but you will pay for the seats one way or another.

Well doesn't seem like he charged too much, if any. This is what he emailed me, and I confirmed by phone today:

" we could get u this model with aftermarket orange leather seats, for a internet price at 33,888 out the door today-sat"

That's a 06 Touring Black coupe 6MT, kickplates, side airbag, trunk floor mats.

I think other ppl in these forums have been paying 33.5K OTD with the same specs/options in the Bay Area.

What dealership is doing this swap? Are they getting aftermarket leather done on the Touring seats (which I assume are charcoal/black leather before swapping for Burnt Orange)?

I'd like to know which aftermarket company is performing the swap.

Good deal, you can definitely take that without feeling guilty.

This is at Dublin Nissan. Yea they can switch out the charcoal leather and put in burnt orange, and they, the guys right at Dublin Nissan, supposedly do this all the time. The guys I've talked to there, Aaron and Jed, sound pretty nice and straightforward.

Cool. The reason I'm asking is because there's a company called Apache and they perform leather swaps for dealerships in SoCal and NorCal, and I was wondering if this dealership was one of their clients...
