Help me decide my 350Z
Hi Guys,
I am planning to get a used 2003 Nissan 350Z (Silver Alloy, Manual)Touring model with 28K miles on it from carmax( No Haggle) and they are quoting like $22,998 on it. Do you guys think that this is good deal as i have already paid like $150(Transferrable fee) and its on its way from Carmax in Kansas city to Memphis, TN location. After doing a background check(car history) at autocheck.com at carmax everything cameout to be good(interiors, exteriors, tyres etc..) So can i beleive them?? is carmax a reliable source?? And i was also planning to take extended waranty (6yrs/60K) for another $1500 for the same car. Do you suggest that??
At the same time i saw this ad online (private seller)who is selling his 2004 Nissan 350Z (silver Alloy, Manual) Touring model with only 20K miles on it for almost the same price $23,800 ( he might come down to $23,000) I even asked him why he was selling his car then his reply was they were building a new house and they wanted to buy a tractor by selling this car.( I am going to test drive it today or may be tommorow) he also said that his wife used to drive his 350Z but not him.
I need all your guys feedback of what should i take into consideration to decide the right car. Do u want to wait until i test drive both the cars.
Any help is appreciated.
(Note: carmax :2003 model, private seller :2004 model)

Try getting the 2004 model as 2003's being the first production years for the 350Z have some quirks which have been later resolved in later models, this does not apply to all 2003 models but alot of them have had issues in transmission & feathering..
Just called up the private owner to know whether the car was still there... He sold it for $23,000. So i have only one option left now.... i.e ********************************************CARMAX********** ********************************.
